Job Description:

 

JOB SUMMARY

As part of Telecommunication Services, you’ll be supporting projects and technology transformation initiatives. You’ll be required to support planning, design, implementation, and provide Tier 3 support to operational teams.

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, implement and maintain complex networks, working closely with Architecture and Innovation teams to guarantee fast and precise roll-out of new technologies and products.
  • Monitoring, analysis, performance and capacity assessments for voice/data communications
  • Plan/Implement improvements, modifications, technology refresh activities for network infrastructures globally
  • Be part of Digital Transformation to help enable technologies such as: Wireless LANs, Private LTE wireless, Low-Power WANs, virtualized networking, VPN/VRF/MPLS, advanced network security Cisco FirePower/ASA/AMP, Edge/Fog and cloud networking, SD-WAN and network automation, Routing, LANs, complex BGP/OSPF/dmVPN, Video Conferencing, collaboration and other technologies, shell and various scripting
  • Plan and manage budgeting for network hardware and software. Procurement engagement
  • Conduct research/experimentation on network products, services, and standards
  • Some travel is required in different areas where customer has business
  • Be engaged, study, constantly learn
  • Perform other duties as may be required and assigned by the Manager

Job Requirements:

 

Required Skills & Education

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • A minimum of 7+ years equivalent work experience in IT & network technologies
  • Solid working knowledge of latest network technologies, including Cisco LAN/WAN, ASR routers and Catalyst/Nexus switches, BGP/OSPF, ASA/Firepower security, QoS/Routing, Wireless
  • Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification is highly desired. CCNA is mandatory
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills, ability/desire to work in global/virtual team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Intermediate English level (ability to communicate freely)
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, self-organization
  • Full Class G licence with no restrictions
